Barak, the founder of Baynine, has been passionate about dogs his entire life. His journey began with the foundational training principles he learned from his father, who worked with family pets. That early passion eventually led him to Los Angeles, where he trained with experts like Joseph Cinnante and gained experience with protection dogs and the sport of PSA.
After years of hands-on work, Barak brought his expertise back to the Bay Area to work directly with dog owners in Oakland. He created Baynine with a simple mission: personalized, practical dog training that works in real-life environments — sidewalks, parks, neighborhoods, and busy city streets.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all training. Whether you’re raising a puppy or dealing with more complex behavior, we focus on clear communication and giving you the tools to help your dog succeed. With guidance from respected members of the training community like Ryan Dabstab and Jennifer Bazan, Barak continues to refine his approach and bring the best of modern training to Oakland families.

Our popular Board and Train programs provide immersive, structured training for your dog in a controlled environment. Located right here in Oakland, our programs are designed to build a strong foundation and address common behavioral challenges.
20-Day Foundation Program: A comprehensive program teaching fundamental obedience. We focus on on-leash behaviors like "place," "sit," "down," and "heel" with increasing levels of duration and distraction. This program is perfect for dogs needing a solid start in manners and obedience.
35-Day Advanced Program: An intensive program that builds upon the foundation. We introduce off-leash reliability (recall, sit, down, heel, place) and incorporate e-collar conditioning for a higher level of freedom and safety.
